Wellness & Weight Management Care
The Wellness & Weight Management Care program offers health and effective medical treatment for weight loss. This program is designed for individuals who suffer from chronic conditions related to obesity and difficulty losing weight, including diabetes, hypertension and osteoarthritis. Recent innovations in the development of safe and effective weight loss drugs have allowed medical providers to help patients lose weight and maintain weight loss, while simultaneously treating many chronic conditions. Via Care is proud to bring these life-saving treatment options to its patient base.

Enrollment in Wellness & Weight Management Care includes regular visits with a provider specializing in weight loss medications and the treatment of chronic conditions associated with weight gain. Group classes focused on nutrition and healthy habits will provide an additional layer of support for those undergoing treatment.

What does the program include?
Wellness & Weight Management Care is overseen by Dr. Enrique Gonzalez, MD. All patients will participate in regular appointments with Dr. Gonzalez focused on medication management and monitoring your weight loss.
In addition to individual appointments, Via Care offers a weekly support group focused on nutrition and healthy habits for diabetics and those undergoing weight loss treatment. Support group topics include:

Our Wellness & Weight Management Care group sessions happen every Wednesday from 10:30am-11:30am at Via Care's Cesar Chavez location - 4755 East Cesar E. Chavez Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90022. Program participants are asked to attend one group session per month for their first 6 months. A brief introduction to the program will be covered in every session for any new members attending.

As part of Wellness & Weight Management Care, many common weight loss drugs will be available for a low cost at the Via Care Pharmacy.

Free delivery is available to seniors 65 or older within 5 miles of the pharmacy. Contact the pharmacy to arrange.
